RE: Norcold 611L fridge on the blink

Probably a faulty thermister. My refer. stopped cooling, had the blinking green light every 3 seconds. Took it to an RV place, they tested the thermister, it was faulty.
Go to www.norcold.com to look for part.

RE: Norcold Refrigerator Problem

My first suggestion would be to get a manual. You can do this by going to www.bryantrv.com, click Service Documents, scrool down until you find your manual. Everything is throughly explained.
Open the outside door of the refrigerator.
The power board is covered with a black cover.
1. Turn OFF the refrigerator
2. Disconnect the following from the power board.
a. 12 Vdc positive and negative wires.
b. AC power cord.
c. Solenoid gas valve wires.
d. Spark/sense electrode assembly wire. EXERCISE EXTREME
CAUTION WHEN DISCONNECTING THIS WIRE.
3. Remove the power board cover.
4. Reconnect the following to the power board (reverse order from
step 2):
a. Spark/sense electrode assembly wire. EXERCISE EXTREME
CAUTION WHEN DISCONNECTING THIS WIRE.
b. Solenoid gas valve wires.
c. AC power cord.
d. 12 Vdc positive and negative wires.
5. Turn ON the refrigerator.
6. Locate Pin 15 on the wire harness 16 pin connector (P1). Pin 15
is the socket to the right of the white/violet wire.
7 Using an insulated jumper wire, short Pin 15 to the power board
ground lug for 10 to 15 seconds. A click sound will indicate when
the controls are reset.
8. Turn OFF the refrigerator.
9. Turn ON the refrigerator to verify that the reset was successful.
If the no cooling fault code displays, repeat steps 7 through 9.
10.Turn OFF the refrigerator.
11.Disconnect the following from the power board:
a. 12 Vdc positive and negative wires.
b. AC power cord.
c. Solenoid gas valve wires.
d. Spark/sense electrode assembly wire. EXERCISE EXTREME
CAUTION WHEN DISCONNECTING THIS WIRE.
12.Install the power board cover.
13.Reconnect the following:
a. Spark/sense electrode assembly wire. EXERCISE EXTREME
CAUTION WHEN RECONNECTING THIS WIRE.
b. Solenoid gas valve wires.
c. AC power cord.
d. 12 Vdc positive and negative wires.
14.Place refrigerator in service.
GET THE MANUAL FROM; www.bryantrv.com
Good Luck.
If you have any questions, PM me. I will try to help.

RE: electric steps

1. To manually retract the steps, the steps need to be partially or fully extended to expose the drive linkage.
2. Unplug the four way connector from the Control Unit
3. Remove the cotter pin from the clevis pin at the linkage assembly.
4. Remove the clevis pin from the case "U" block in the end of the linkage assembly. NOTE the direction the clevis pin goes into the cast block. If the step is in its locked position, the pin may have to be pried or driven out of the block.
Once the clevis pin is removed, the step treads should now swing freely. If they do not, check for a bent step frame or a jammed pivot point.

I broke several plastic ones. Went to Home Depot, asked employee in Blind Department if they carried them. He opened a drawer and gave me several for free.

RE: RV Wholesalers vs the local guy

Mark 1228
That's what I was alluding to as I_rv2 described. Maybe I was too strong saying I was insulted.
However if it was in the selling price, it would not of felt as another extra $250.

RE: Drain plug

Have heard some say two different metals (brass and aluminum) should not be together. I believe if you use pipe tape it is ok.
Anyone else have comments?

RE: RV Wholesalers vs the local guy

Purchased from RVDirect and the full payment before delivery was scary, but I PM'd several Forum members and they had the same feelings, but said everything was handled professionaly.
I made the the leap after giving my local dealer a chance, but they were $3900 more plus charge $250 for the PDI.
I don't understand dealers that charge extra for PDI's. If it is costly add it into the price and don't insult us.
RV Direct at the time of my purchase used the Charger company in Elkhart to do the PDI. They were great to work withas is RV Direct.
Always got an answer promptly.

Norcold Refrigerator Problem

Had problem with Norcold refrigerator. Did a hard reset, now the refrigerator is cooling, but the green light blinks once every three seconds.
It did this in the AC mode as well as propane.
Shut it down for the weekend, now the green light blinks only on AC.
What might my problem be? What should I be checking?
Thank for any help.

RE: RV Dealer?

Purchased from RVDirect several years ago. Was a great experience.
Saved almost $4000. Local dealer would not budge.
Only had to drive about 150 miles to pick up.
Good Luck in your dealings.

RE: Onan Generator - Will not Start

Weather was great this weekend, high 50's. Checked battery connections all are tight and clean.
Rotated flywheel.
Charged battery, it was low, but now fully charged.
Gas tank full, can hear fuel pump pumping.
Tried with chassis motor running at both the remote switch and the generator switch.
My volt meter wires corroded, so can't test solenoid. Will try what Cool Mike suggested, with the lights and also get a new volt meter.
Tried jumping the solenoid, hardly got a spark.
How do I check the solenoid switch?

RE: Onan Generator - Will not Start

Went out to the motorhome yesterday, turned the flywheel (spins freely).
Took the battery out and charging it. Will clean all connections and reinstall. (High temperature today in the teens, this weekend will be in the mid 40's)
Will make sure all connections are tight.
Will report back.
Also, getting a BatteryMinder Plus.
